The design for this model was inspired by the countless small town railroad
depots found just about anywhere in North America, at any time from the late
1800's until today. We named this model "Springfield" as that town
name can be found in almost everyone of the continental United States. You are
welcome to change the name to something else.
Features include Laser-cut tabbed and notched siding, peel & stick
windows which assemble in layers, a three-window stand alone bay and our new
Laser-cut, peel & stick, "shake-style" shingles. The gable
brackets are unique in that they are of a free-lanced design, not particular to
any railroad, but a combination of design elements, carefully extracted from
prototype photos and artistically arranged to replicate a "standard"
railroad appearance. Instructions are included.
Springfield Depot is a great addition to any layout in any era.
Dimensions: 10" long, 4" wide, 3.75" high, for O-Scale trains
