This #2028 is in very good condition. No cracks, breaks or rust. The gold lettering on this model did not hold up very well, this one is better than most. On one side the lettering is strong, on the other side it is fading. There is some deterioration of the gold paint on the frame which is very normal on this item. It runs great and the E-unit functions properly for direction control. This was a pretty basic engine from Lionel in 1955. It did not include premium features and details.
