Here is a #2402 Chatham Pullman Passenger car from 1948-49, It is in pretty close condition to Like New but we are going to grade it Excellent just to be on the conservative side. There are no breaks, cracks or rust and it looks to have been very well taken care of with minimal run time. There are almost no marks on the car and the lettering and paint are as strong and bright as the day it was new. The only negative is that on one side, the paint has chipped around two of the "2's" in the car number. This is due to the heat stamping method of putting the lettering on the car at the factory. The heat stamp actually caused the paint to be loosened around the "2's". It has probably been this way from the day it was sold to the original owner. The original box that is included is numbered #2400. It is in poor condition missing all flaps from one end. At least it will give some protection to the car.
