This set is from the Warhorse Series. In keeping with the
Warhorse theme, the set is hand weathered for a realistic and sentimental
look. One of the many engine's features is a wireless tether, an infrared
communications system that eliminates the plugs and wires between the engine
and tender. Originally designed as the #703 for a 1946 release, this
magnificent Hudson was never produced (until now). Another feature of this
great engine is Lionel TrainMaster Command Control which enables the
operation of multiple trains on the same track along with remote control
operation.
Each 9464 boxcar is authentically decorated with one
of the classic Santa Fe slogans introduced in 1940, and features a metal
brake wheel and die-cast sprung trucks. The 7606 caboose is decorated as a
steel sided AT&SF caboose, with die-cast trucks, interior illumination
and metal brake wheels.
Set includes Loco & tender, 4-Std. "O"
scale boxcars, Std. "O" scale caboose.
