This is the first in the Lionel Warhorse Series, the 600
Norfolk & Western J-class 4-8-4 steam locomotive and Norfolk &
Western freight set. Captured in all their glory, the Warhorse J freight set
components feature an authentic, hand applied, weathered appearance for a
realistic look.. No two cars are alike! The Command equipped J steam
locomotive is powered by a powerful, rugged Pullmor motor and features
Magnetraction for more speed, more climb and more pull. The die-cast tender
rides on die-cast six wheel trucks and features the RailSounds J-class
digital sound system for the ultimate in model railroad realism. Thrill to
the authentic sounds of the real-life 611 J, including exclusive digital
features like DynaChuff (labored and coasting chuff sounds, depending on the
locomotives speed) and MultiWhistle (different whistle sounds at different
speeds). For true realism, nothing compares to Lionel Railsounds.
The Norfolk & Western freight set is equally
realistic. Like the J, each piece is hand-weathered for the look of years of
hard service. The four 6446 hoppers feature authentic N&W decoration,
are individually numbered, come complete with realistic coal loads, and ride
on die-cast sprung trucks. The N&W 6517 bay-window caboose has brilliant
interior illumination, features authentic N&W markings, rides on
die-cast caboose trucks, and comes with all-new die-cast under-frame details
for added weight and realism. Plus the Lionel Warhorse J set includes a
Lionel CAB-1 remote, designed for use with the TrainMaster Command model
railroad control system. Use the CAB-1 remote with the Command Base (sold separately) and your
power supply to unlock all the terrific extra features
waiting for you inside the 600 J.
