The D&H railroad began in 1823 as a casual system transporting
Pennsylvania coal to New York state. However, it soon blossomed into "the
Bridge Line to New England and Canada," providing many years of passenger,
coal and general freight service to those regions.

Engine & Tender length: 18-1/4", operates on O-27 or greater curves
This engine is new and has not been run. Instructions are included but it is
missing the box. The whistle is a motor driven air whistle like the post-war
tenders but it is electronically controlled. You will need a modern transformer
with a bell & whistle button to activate the whistle. If the whistle will
not blow with your transformer, you will need to obtain a Lionel #5906 Sound
Activation button which is available from Lionel.com
