May 1, 2008 marks the date that Lionel LLC fully emerged from bankruptcy. The 108-year-old company settled a seven-year legal battle with MTH and paid all of its creditors in full.

Overall condition on both pieces is excellent. No breaks, cracks, rust or major scratches. Everything works fine including the smoke, whistle and E-unit. All steps are present on the tender. The #736 is a larger "O" scale engine which gives it great pulling power due to it's size and weight.

The engine box is in excellent condition and includes the liner, the tender box is missing all flaps from one end and has tape on one corner. Both boxes have the original owners name written on them.

The original instruction sheet is also included and is in excellent condition.
