#1134 Ives Steamer 10-1123-1
The legendary Ives #1134 Steamer returns to life again as part of the M.T.H.
Tinplate Traditions line. One of the largest Ives standard gauge steamers, the
1134 will evoke memories of yesteryear while using the technology of today.
Patterned after the Baltimore & Ohio's 4-4-0 President Washington, the
die-cast metal boiler and die-cast chassis were released by the Ives Company in
various colors and configurations before setteling on nthe 4-4-2 wheel
arrangement in 1930.
Like all M.T.H. Tinplate Traditions pieces, the 1134 closely models the
original of yesteryear. The boiler, tender and running gear are made entirely of
metal. All painted surfaces are decorated with a baked enamel finish. A sure

Ives 6-Car Circus Set 10-1125
1928 proved to be a monumental year for the Ives Company with the first
release of the Railway Circus Set in Wide Gauge or what we now refer to as
Standard Gauge. The set consisted of six cars and was pulled by a #1134 Ives
Standard Gauge Steam Locomotive. Each car was brightly painted and featured one
of two lettering name plates: "The Ives Railway Circus" or "The
Ives Railway Show".
Animal cages were set on two flat cars and the cages had canvas coverings
which could be rolled down to protect the animals when the train was moving.
Each car featured stamped metal construction and metal trucks and wheels but
none of the cars used in the Circus Set were ever sold separately, which made
them highly prized amongst Ives collectors.
For the first time since 1928, the Ives Circus Cars return to life in the
M.T.H. Tinplate Traditions lineup. Like the original Ives creations, the M.T.H.
Circus Set features exact reproductions of the original set components employing
the same stamped metal construction, detail and colors, thus ensuring an
accurate reproduction any collector would be proud to own.
Also included with the Ives Circus Set, is the Ives Circus Diorama. It is
made out of heavy cardboard and four color printing.
