Description

Guys, this is quite a mystery. The #577 whistling billboard is listed as having 3 variations of signs: Circus; Foxmart (rare), and Trains. This one has the Erector sign! The Erector sign was used on the #762 dual-tone whistling billboard. This billboard is not a #762. It comes in the original #577 box (from the original owner no less), it only has the 3-wires (not the 5-wire that the 762 has) and it has the single button control switch (not the dual button for the #762). The sign is definitely original and is not a repro or replacement. The original owner since childhood says that was the way it was purchased.

So, we think we may have a rare, un-cataloged variation here. They probably mixed up the signs at the factory and made this one with the #762 Erector sign.

This billboard is in excellent (almost like new) condition. It whistles and lights up properly. Included are the whistle control button, envelope of wood screws, factory inspection slip dated 1949, and the instruction sheet #M2444.

The box is in good solid condition with some age and wear, all flaps intact.

If you are in to collecting the odd and unknown, this one's for you!
