Description

Here is a nice set of Civil War era passenger cars. These were produced from 1959 to 1962. The #1875 and #1876 have the original boxes.

The 1865 and 1866 are not lighted (that's the way they were made) and the 1875 and 1876 are lighted.

The two boxes for 1875 & 1876 are in poor shape but at least they protect the cars.

Features 1865 & 1866:

  • O-Gauge, cataloged as O-27
  • Not lighted
  • Fixed, non-self centering die-cast couplers
  • Opaque window shell
  • Brake wheels
  • Metal wheels & axles
  • Wire trusses
  • Arch-bar trucks
  • Each car length: 11 1/2"

Features 1875 & 1876:

  • O-Gauge, cataloged as O-27
  • Lighted
  • Self centering operating die-cast couplers
  • Opaque window shell
  • Brake wheels
  • Metal wheels & axles
  • Wire trusses
  • Arch-bar trucks
  • Each car length: 11 1/2"

These passenger cars have been used and show some play wear, scratches and missing paint spot on one roof. Overall on average, we are grading the set in Very Good condition. The #1875 car suffered a broken step that has been glued back on nicely and is solid. The boxes are in poor shape and have some flaps that have been taped back on and reinforced with clear tape.
