Description

Here we have a set of 4-passenger cars, named for towns around the Lionel factory in New Jersey. These were cataloged in 1948 and 1949. We are grading the overall condition as Good, however some are better than others. All of them work and illuminate properly and a few have been re-wired as the wiring was brittle. Make sure to look at the pictures.

  • #2400 Maplewood coach, poor condition as there is damage to the body at one wheel well.
  • #2401 Hillside Observation car, Good condition, one little chip at the roofline on the square end.
  • #2402 Chatham coach, Fair condition with a small melt mark at the roofline on one side.
  • #2402 Chatham coach, Very Good condition, no damage, normal play wear, one end has some paint loss at the left and right at the top.

Features:

  • O-Gauge
  • Die-cast 4-wheel passenger trucks
  • Magnetic coil operated die-cast couplers
  • Lighted interiors with 2-bulbs
  • Interior window strips
  • Easily removable roofs
  • Metal wheels & axles
  • Each car length: 12"
  • Minimum curve: O-27

These will make a nice affordable set to run behind your postwar steam or diesel engine!

Note: in the side views of the cars, the bottom car looks like the lettering has faded and is missing to the right side, this is just due to the photo lights creating glare. The lettering is strong on all cars.
