Lionel 6-11225 Baltimore & Ohio 4-4-2 Atlantic Steam Engine with Legacy and Whistle Steam

A mainstay passenger engine for decades, the 4-4-2 steam locomotive was the perfect turn-of the-century engine for quick travel. The stable, two-wheel trailing truck on the 4-4-2 Atlantic allowed for a larger firebox, increasing horsepower and speed compared to earlier steam locomotives. Ultimately, more powerful engines such as 4-6-2?s replaced the smaller Atlantics, ushering in a new era of heavy duty steam locomotives. In their heyday, close to 2000 Atlantic engines operated on North American railroads.

This engine has not been run. The original owner did not have a layout and just collected. He re-lettered the tender to Pennsylvania but the quality was not up to our standards, So, we had it professionally re-done back to Baltimore and Ohio. It looks perfect! We have tested the engine and tender to make sure it works and runs properly and it does. Includes the Legacy memory module, smoke fluid funnel, instructions, original box and Styrofoam packing insert.
