The ever-innovative Southern Pacific turned some of their steam
locomotives around to keep the crew out of the smoke through the many
Sierra Mountain tunnels. The AC-12 class was the most modern of these
?Cab Forwards.?
No. 4294 is the sole survivor of the type and can be seen at the
California State Railroad Museum.

This engine is new in the box and has not been run. We have tested it to make
sure that all features work and that ir runs properly. Includes the
instructions, Legacy Memory Module, wrench for removing the side rods to replace
traction tires, spare traction tires and the optional O-gauge front knuckle
coupler.
