Here is a #1119 Scout set from 1951. It is in overall very good condition. We do not have the set box but the individual component boxes are included for the engine and cars. The boxes are in poor shape but at least they offer some protection for the items. We have replaced the original transformer with a much better modern transformer that has an added feature of a direction control button. We have serviced the engine and it runs well. Note that Scout engines always are a little skittish when it comes to controlling forward/neutral/reverse operation. They work best at moderate speed and pulling a load. There is a bit of age and wear on the engine shell and tender shell which is normal and there are very small spatters of red paint on the right side of both engine and tender but this is almost un-noticeable. The boxcar, gondola & caboose are all in excellent condition. We have included more track than was included back in 1951 so you can make a nice sized oval layout. There are no cracks, breaks or damage on any of the items. This set includes everything you need to set up a layout with trains, track, transformer and hook-up wires.
