Lionel 6-18961 & 6-18249 Erie Alco PA-1 & PB-1 Diesel Engine Set with TMCC

Primarily known as a builder of steam engines until the end of World War II, The American Locomotive Company (Alco) started producing the "PA" and "PB" diesel passenger locomotive series in 1946, using its own 16-cylindar turbocharged Vee engine. Over the next three years, a total of 170 PA-1 units and 40 PB-1 units were sold.
Five PA-1's, numbered 850-854 were delivered to the Erie in April 1949. This was the first large road 2000-HP passenger power for the railroad. The roster of PA-1's for the Erie was complete with the addition of seven more by November 1949.
With these 2 units, you get a complete set of PA's. Together, you will have 33" in length of sheer power and might for your railroad. The PA-1 features dual motors, TMCC command controlled, and more. The PB-1 is non-motorized and also is TMCC command control equipped.
