We have tested the engine and passenger cars to make sure that they work properly and that all features work. There is no damage or defects on any of the items. According to the original owner, the set was purchased for Christmas when he was a child. It was run one Christmas and then boxed up and put in a closet and never run again. Includes the boxes which do show some shelf & storage wear. The engine box includes the Styrofoam packing insert. The instruction sheet for the engine is missing.. It doesn't get much better than this!
