Lionel 6-8100 Norfolk & Western J-Class 4-8-4 Steam Locomotive & Tender
|
This locomotive is a re-creation of the favorite 1957 Lionel #746. This big powerful 4-8-4 streamliner is an authentic representation of the original which pulled the N&W Powhatan Arrow, a luxurious passenger train inaugurated in 1949. Running from Norfolk through the scenic Appalachian and Allegheny mountains, it conquered their steep grades and torturous curves and was capable of roaring speeds of up to 90 miles per hour on the level stretch to Cincinnati.
Features:
O-Scale, operates on O-31 or greater curves. Overall length: 22"
The engine and tender are in Like New condition, no damage, defects or rust. Shows very low run time on the wheels & pick-up rollers. We have tested it to make sure that all features work and that it runs properly. The box has shelf wear and appears to have been damp with some water staining. The Styrofoam lid has a corner broken off. Instructions are not included.
Note: The finish on the engine and tender is a very glossy black paint. The white areas in the pictures are reflections from the lighting. There are no defects with the paint.
